Exploring the Areas around Golden Gate Park

This weekend we decided to explore Golden Gate Park and the surrounding areas. The areas we ended up visiting were the Golden Gate Rose Garden, the Young Museum, Golden Gate Park, Marshall Beach, and Japantown.

Golden Gate Park had many attractions such as  the Japanese Garden, Academy of Sciences, and the Young Museum, but they all cost money. We  decided to just walk around and see what we're we could go for free because we all were feeling our wallets being strained. The Academy of Science would have cost us around $40 each to go inside and have a pass to the exhibits.

You can still have a decent time without actually having payed anything. We took in the sights and just explored the park. There's a lot to be seen. The Young Museum also had a great section where you can get a glimpse of San Francisco from 11 stories up.

Marshall beach was interesting like always because it consisted of a great view of the Golden Gate speckled with naked people. The nudist seemed to love the attention and always seemed to have a way of wandering into shots of people who were unaware of their presence in the background.

Parallel Parking in SF

Finding parking in San Francisco is hard enough, but parking on hills can be challenging especially for Low. We circled around Chinatown in San Francisco for a while until we found this spot on the hill next to the Chinatown tunnel. It was a decent spot, but the hill made the parking job a little challenging... So much so that a resident came out of her apartment to assist Low in the parking incident.

I started shooting this video on my droid x after 2 or 3 minutes of him trying to back into the spot. This footage is unedited and just uploaded to youtube. The woman was interesting because she kept telling Low how to park even though it didn't seem to be helping. I guess she just was used to the parking situation because she lived in the apartment right behind the Camera.

It was overall a very interesting experience and the chinese food we had that day was excellent making the venture worth it.
