Doppelganger

A surprise sighting of a Rachel impersonator at Kohl's. The resemblance was uncanny. She was a little larger than Rachel, but had the same glasses and everything. To the left is the doppelganger to the right is the real thing. Can you tell the difference? Maybe it was Rachel, but she sure didn't say 'Hi' to us.

When your car starts to screech it's a bad omen of things to come. Low's car died in front of my house when he came to pick me up. We charged his car with my car, but then we decided to go to Costco to pick up a few things.

Low suspecting that things weren't really going well with his vehicle, this was the second time it didn't start in front of my house, decided to look for car batteries while shopping. Costco with is vast quantities of everything had no batteries that were for his model car.

After concluding our shopping excursion we went back to the car and after a few loud screeches reminiscent of a dying bird we knew his car battery could hold about as much of a charge as a 3 year old laptop.

After not finding any batteries at Costco we decided to try at Wal-mart. I mean after all if it's not at Costco and not at Wal-mart we deserve to be stranded right? Anyway, we found the battery and lugged it back to the Costco parking lot. We put the battery in with some assistance from Low's brother Sou, and we were on our way.

Just take head of warning signs because you might not be so lucky or under such relaxed time constraints.

My Room 1/10/12

Happy New Year~!
This is the layout of my room as of 1/10/12.
Pretty small room, but the loft bed gives me a little more space. I like how the room has come together. I would prefer hardwood floors because rugs get dirty easier, but I'm not complaining. The Anime stuff isn't all mine, it's mostly a combination of what my girlfriend has collected and my stuff.

Biking / Walking Lake Chabot

Monday, January 9, 2012 Posted by Digital Katsu 0 comments
When a 60 year old biker passes you on the incline of a hill you know that you need to get back on the regular exercise train because the embarrassment alone is enough motivation. Low, Chun-li, and I decided to go try the trails of Lake Chabot. We just weren't prepared for the steep inclines and dirt roads, so we ended up pushing our bikes most of the way. That still counts as exercise right?

We did however make it about 1/4 of the bike loop. We ended up giving up due to the lack of motivation and someone made a comment that we weren't supposed to ride road bikes up a dirt trail. Does adventure stop because you don't have the right equipment? I guess the answer to that question is No, but our tired bodies didn't want to go on.
The main point of the excursion was exercise; goal accomplished.

Chun li's First Time....

Posted by Digital Katsu 0 comments
Around 6 or so years ago I took an apprentice under my wing. His name was Low and he was an eager individual willing to learn the ways of driving. Anyway, today he took on his own eager young apprentice willing to learn how to drive. Chun li was apprehensive at first about driving, but it really seemed like after her first trial run she didn't want to leave the drivers seat. She attempted the backwards parking job, even though it wasn't perfect, it was a valiant attempt especially since it was the first time she was behind the wheel of a car.

Drakes Beach... Josh's Beach nonexistent

Posted by Digital Katsu 0 comments
Who says December is too cold to go to the beach? Certainly not us.
Low, Peter, Chunli, Annie, and I ventured out toward Point Reyes with no particular venue in mind for a BBQ. We just had the drive to have a BBQ that weekend. What a drive it was... around 2 hours to get to Drakes beach after picking everyone up and heading toward the Point Reyes area. It was a decent drive taking us through very nice towns that a person might like to visit if they were so inclined like Fairfax.
After driving quite a ways we were lost a bit and decided to just follow a route out toward Drakes beach and hope that it had some BBQ pits. Sure enough Drakes Beach did.

The Beach was empty when we arrived around 12 in the afternoon. It seemed very peaceful because of the secluded location located far from the main beaches along that stretch of road.

What did we do? What else.. We flew kites, walked around, looked at the various dead birds in the sand, talked, collected shells, and all the wonderful things you could do at the beach. As far as beaches go I would highly recommend this beach because the amount of people even during the mid afternoon on a Sunday was way lower than that of more famous areas like Bakers Beach.

The BBQ took forever to light like always. If we can't get a fire going with a blow torch lighter and charcoal I fear for our souls if we ever get stuck in a Man vs. Wild kind of situation. I'm not a bear grills and I don't think I can light anything with one match or a magnesium flint (though I really want one). BBQ consisted of hot dogs, hot links, and rice (yes rice).
